I have a HP elite computer from which is about 3 years old now.
I have changed the nVidia 8600 to a nVidia 9800 GT.
But now it seems that I should get a new processor in case if I don't want get a new computer.
At the time now I have a AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Dual Core Processor 5000+, which is gettin a bit old with its 2.41 GHz.
So could you tell show me a processor which is capable of over 3.00 GHz and has a sensible price.
I would be really thankful.

3. The exact model number of your computer, HP Elite is not going to help us find you a compatible processor.
4.Any changes you have made to it such as the graphics card change, or if you changed the PSU or the ram, etc.
If your socket is AM2+ then go for a Phenom II x3 720/Phenom II x4 940
