-Hello all I run Fedora 17 with KDE and when I attempt to update yum or install a new package, this happens: yum update Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, priorities, refresh-packagekit ftp://jpackage.hmdc.harvard.edu/JPackage/5.0/fedora-17/free/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] FTP Error 550 : ftp://jpackage.hmdc.harvard.edu/JPackage/5.0/fedora-17/free/repodata/repomd.xml Trying other mirror. Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from jpackage-distro: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. This has been happening for some time now, but I can't seem to fix it, so it's not a simple issue of a server being temporarily down. Any advice besides just giving my computer a fresh OS install? Thanks in advance.
Are you sure it's not a server issue? I get the same HTTP/FTP errors when I try to access them via browser.
Thanks. I managed to fix the problem by simply removing the package (I suspect it is no longer supported).
