I was planning on using a new HDD on my computer but due to problems with my key, I couldn't do a fresh install of Windows on the new drive, so I used a tool called Macrium Reflect to clone the drive currently in use to my new hard drive. The new hard drive is 1TB while the one currently in use is 500GB, when I cloned my 500GB onto my 1TB, it put the size of my 1TB to 500GB.
When I try to format the 1TB to return it to its full size (instead of 500GB), the size is still 500GB once formatted. How would I go about returning the drive to its original size?
Presuming you're using Windows 7, click the start icon and type in the search bar "Disk Management" and double-click the program that comes up. You should be able to see your HDD there with 3 chunks (System Reserved, C:, Unallocated Space), presuming you've not divided it further in the past. Right-click C and click Extend Volume. The system will then calculate the space available and will allow you to enlarge your HDD partion to use the unused space. :)
I love you so much <3 Thanks for helping!
