I got a new case, it is just your standard case with power switch, reset and LEDS
[xigmatek midguard]
I transferred my components to this new case and it ran great for a day or two
but suddenly I got a problem where it doesn't even POST, no VGA output etc, it just stays on for 10 seconds and shuts down. All of the fans work, checked gpu by replacing, got a new cpu heatsink, soundcard, psu, cpu. (just ones i had lying around)
Nothing worked until I put everything in the old case. It runs fine when I use the old one.
So apparently my new case is shorting me or something? Any ideas on how I can prevent this? :smith:
Clear CMOS? One time my screen wasn't showing anything and I did that.. everything went fine.
Don't do it yet. Make sure someone knows what I'm talking about.

Already tried a few times, one of the first things I tried
Maybe its a issue with the standoffs placement?
Oh my god, there was a bit of metal foil at the back of the mobo somehow, grounding everything.

Grounded is a electric current, right?
Wait, so you fried your board?

Some MoBo's are smart enough to not nuke its self. Really all you can do is hope for the best.

grounding isn't the word you're looking for, it should be shorting
but yeah that will do it.
