Well that's neat. I know the owners of the Sacramento Kings also own NRG eSports and the owners of Memphis Grizzlies own Immortals but neither of those teams are owned under the NBA teams themselves.
As long as they don't end up like Schalke FC, it should be all good. Really excited to see the ridiculous growth of esports lately.
Also I am really excited about the fact that the Dignitas brand is back in the LCS. Such a storied franchise and one of the original LCS teams back in it again.
Dignitas is a completely new team full of trash players on the LoL side just reusing the same name, nothing resembling old Dig at all.

Implying old dig was ever any good, they had one split where they did very well and then collapsed in playoffs.
The only reason Dignitas's brand was picked up was for name recognition as one of the original LCS teams and having a dedicated fanbase. Apex was bought for its slot and players. Obviously even with them fielding the roster of Apex I don't think they have a chance of relegation. Unless, the off season in December ends up being completely ridiculous.
(Which to be honest, it might be considering Schalke FC is on the playing field to get a good challenger based team, fnatic needs a full restructure, Liquid needs a new restructure. Lots and lots of players going left and right)
The players on the new dig cant even climb out of d5, the old dig players in its prime were actually passable as a serious team, this roster is a joke.

Well, they might end up like Schalke, unless they actually have plans to change the roster. I don't want to give up on Xpecial just yet. I think he can do well, not sure about Keane. He was always okayish. Everyone else needs to be replaced ASAP in my opinion.
Especially if the team wants to be part of LCS after the spring split.
