Let's just hope the netcode is equally as exciting.

Seriously? You're going to do this?
AE 2012 gad fairly good netcode on PC, but it didn't quite work with the steam transition, seeing as how they didn't originally intend for GFWL to go down.
All I hear about in every single news update in SF4 is people bitching about the netcode. I can't find discussion of anything else anymore, and it's really fucking annoying. You'd have to be an idiot to think that they'd brave cross platform without confidence in their ability to write the netcode.
I wish more games had Cross Platform play.

It should be an industry standard for anything that isn't an FPS or RTS
The lives of just about every game ever would be increased greatly

Like it or not, there's still a noticeable disparity between the console and PC versions of USFIV. Just because GFWL going down wasn't "intended", doesn't mean that we shouldn't expect a decent online experience going into Street Fighter V. After all, it'll be a fresh start, and built with Steamworks in-mind.
I wasn't bashing the game - hell I play a ton of it with my Quanba RAF 4 fightstick. Currently learning Decapre, and totally excited to be able to start doing trials with her in the upcoming patch.

Yes, but hearing about it every time I pop into an SF related thread of any sort is really fucking obnoxious. We get it, the steamworks ranked netcode is garbage. You don't have to keep stroking yourself over dumb little quips about it like every other person on the internet.

The SF4 netcode has always been atrociously bad. It's not just steam.
They developed it for Japan in mind. And you better get even more used to people requesting that they don't fuck up the netcode for SFV this time around. It's literally the biggest thing you can't fuck up. Especially when some players only have the option to play online and don't exactly live near populated areas.

I'm sorry if I offended you; your use of language suggests that you're rather pissed off. That wasn't the intention of my initial post.
I sure do hope the netcode is good

Microsoft at one point actually worked with some developers on a cross-platform version of Windows Live, but it din't work out.
I think balance was given as the main reason, but also cheats and having to sync development cycles.
PC players are going to destroy the PS4 players. Mouse and keyboard gives a very unfair advantage, especially when it comes to fighting games. That's why they're banned at tournaments

I dunno man, I have an easier time performing moves that require you to do a 180 with a controller than a keyboard.
So this is probably one of the reasons why they didn't put it on the bone also.

There's been a few that announced it but cut it before release. Hopefully this one will stay.

i was just thinking if this would be fair

no we need FPS cross games my god would it be so nice to have some easy target's.
why arent we analyzing the video
seems there are guard breaks and breakable walls. Opinions?
wayy bigger stages I guess than the set ones on sf4.
Chun has her 3rd strike super? or possibly just part of it.

Yeah trying out the crossplatform play on a subpar strategically intensive fps was kind of a dumb mistake on their part, considering the console players would basically get bumfucked constantly by the pc players.
