So for unknown reasons my computer will decide to lock itself up, though not like you'd think. It'll let certain things, such as my mouse or certain windows, to remain unaffected, though soon lock up like the rest.
It'll lock up for about 40 seconds to a minute, then return to normal for about a minute or so, then return to its unresponsive state. After awhile (two or more hours) it will fix itself and run as it should, but after a few days it will fuck up again.
Now, normally I'd reset the computer for a quick fix, but then that enters another problem. Sometimes when turned on, it will simply shut itself down about 10-15 seconds into startup, turn back on, then repeat that cycle until its power is cut off.
So I have three choices, find a solution to this problem, deal with it, or risk the other problem and turn it off.
Also, as I was typing this it locked up about 5-7 times. I'd provide my specs, but I haven't been able to find a way to get them, nor do I know what kind of specs you'd need for a problem like this, but I'll provide whatever specs are required when I can, which due to all these lock ups is very, very difficult.
All I'm asking is for some sort of solution to this, this has been going on for too long.
I don't know man. I actually read all of this.. But sadly, I don't think I can help you out.
Specs would be helpful in this situation.
$5 he's running 98 or he's running Vista with 256MB RAM.
