What if one year Apple decided to not update their lineup?
Would their stock crash near instantly?

They get a steady flow of cash from iTunes.

Wasn't there a rumor they were making a smaller tablet to compete with the Kindle Fire and such? Or were they going to make it bigger?
New AppleTV too hopefully! I heard they were gonna rebrand it the iTV.. which is funny if you live in the UK :)

What's wrong with the current hockey puck?
Hooray for buying an Apple device unknowing that there would be a brand new one in a month!

They should make a smaller one and build a phone into it - that way you could carry it around in your pocket and get phone calls

Nothing really, would be nice to have 1080p and apps though :)

ASUS is coming out with something like that called Padfone which is a retarded name but it still looks cool

tl;dw
-phone isn't built in, is stored in a compartment in the back
-signal isn't affected because when the phone is stored it uses the tablets antenna
-android 4.0, usb, etc
-Stylus used for everything and can answer phone calls eg; don't have to take the phone out from the compartment to answer a call (stylus isn't required for daily use but is needed for the phone)
-phone charges when it's in the tablet and the tablet is connected to the charger or the bound to be overpriced keyboard

I'd imagine you'd use an ipad, or an iphone, or one of those trackpads, or one of those bluetooth mice
The hand in the picture has wrong lighting.

No home button will suck balls aswell, also the CPU/GPU will have to be atleast 4x more powerfull than the current one to be able to display the same quality game at the much higher res.

that's hot
I hope the rumor that OSX will run on the next iPad is true. That would (probably) amp up the productivity of a tablet significantly because right now it's just a smartphone with a large screen and with less phone. The hardware capability should be there soon, anyway.
I am severely disappointed with my tablet (ASUS Transformer) and how counter-productive it is despite the dock.
Isn't this thing supposed to have use the retina display from iPhone 4? I heard that makes it have a 2,048x1,536 resolution.

As much as I hate to admit it, the iPad is the best tablet available. Android, even ice cream sandwich, just doesn't work on tablets.

iTV said that they won't give up the name - I doubt it.

Before ICS the browser in Honeycomb couldn't handle Javascript or Flash at all. Every internet browsing session for me was miserable (what's the point of a tablet if you can't even browse the internet properly). When I was on FP, it would lag so bad it wouldn't get all the letters I typed when posting. When we had snowflakes, the entire thing locked up. Flash would crash the browser. The whole thing leaked so much memory it forced all other apps to close until the browser crashed.
Even WITH ICS (although it has improved a lot) the browsing experience is (in my opinion) not meeting my expectations for an OS released to me in 2012.
Furthermore I couldn't use Polaris office because it crashed every time I tried to save the document - losing my progress.
Additionally there's no way to filter tablet/phone apps in the Android market so most of the time I don't know if I'm getting a horribly looking app because the description doesn't mention tablets.
Google's support is awful, 3.1 and 3.2 broke the browser and despite heaps of complaints on forums, no update is released for 8 months and counting. Luckily the Transformer has gotten Android 4, I doubt Android 3 will ever be updated again, so fucked are those with incompatible tablets.
There are a lot of things I could point out that pisses me off but these are a select few that struck me the most. The Transformer with dock wasn't exactly cheap and my experience with it over the past months has been very disappointing.
I really like the USB ports, support for mouse, removable memory, physical keyboard, memory slots, Java and Flash support, and whatever the dock and OS gives me, but I sincerely wish the software side was much more intuitive and worked much better, that's why I'm now considering if - after all - the iPad would be a better choice for me.
Just my two cents.
Now where's that iBoard I've been waiting for

I remember my phone being so slow, it didn't even bother animating the snowflakes. They just sort of got stuck, and would update every two minutes or so. :v: Everything else worked fine though. Or at least as best as it could.
I want an iWall

That would be weird, iTV was the codename before it came out
Sweet. I enjoy my iPad a lot so I'll probably update it depending on if there's any new features that I'll actually use. Shame there's going to be another month of Facepunch whining like babies over something they apparently don't care about though.
I'd like to get one but holy shit why is it so expensive, I doubt the cost of labour and parts warrants a £500 price tag for their latest and greatest.

I can see the picture which has no home button under the dock.
