I've described the issue I'm having here in this post, but will go into some detail anyway:

For some reason certain videos have been loading as normal while others will default to 240p and just won't really get anywhere, while Steam is still seemingly fine peaking at 4.2MB/s. Any idea if this is a common issue?
What's a DNS?
Wait just so I'm sure I put "ipconfig /flushdns" in the CMD?
Sorry but I'm just really technologically dumb.
Alright, I'll see how it goes.

It's probably just a dumb coincidence but the videos that don't seem to work are ones I haven't watched before.

This works:

Whereas this doesn't:

Update. Unless 3 and a bit hours and a restart isn't enough time then I'm afraid the DNSFlush hasn't worked.
Just making sure I got this right before I continue.

Alright I've done it, here's hoping it works.
Next day report. The same videos decided to stop working again so I checked the DNS settings and it was back to what it was before. Redid to googles, validated the settings and did another /flushdns and I'm going to hope this wasn't a one time lucky fix yesterday.

Can confirm however that off the bat it isn't working. Let's hope the next few hours are better.
please be joking

looks like im never watching these certain videos again
I'm still perplexed as to what kind of fucking issue this even is. Why some videos.
[editline]6th March 2015[/editline]
I'd restart my internet all together but that never brings good fortune from experience.

Any more advice?
And suddenly the issue is resolved, neat.
