It's a team fortress 2 clone that looks like a Pixar movie
It's a team fortress 2 clone that looks like a Pixar movie
You make it sound like Team Fortress 2 doesn't look like a Pixar movie.
The only similarity it looks like it has with tf2 is that its a first person shooter with a cartoonish art style? The classes seem more like actual characters.
Sure they've borrowed a lot from TF2, but I like that game. The added parkour like elements, and the facts that the classes seem like classes in Overwatch doesn't hurt either.
Seems to have a lot of things in it that I would never want to have in TF2.
Alternative to TF2, and I think it will also be "free" (microtransactions, etc)....
Looks like Wildstar had a baby with TF2.
Reminds me of that game Gearbox announced earlier this year
If this is free-to-play, I'll pass. But otherwise it looks cool.
A friend of mine said that this looks like "TF2 had a baby with a MOBA" and then I remembered that's basically Monday Night Combat and then I got sad because that game's dead.
Hopefully this will be good.
It obviously borrows a lot from TF2, that's how games evolve though.
Probably something they put out using recycled tech from Titan I'm guessing.
Its like a Super Monday Night Combat TF2 hybrid.
Is it just me or is Blizzard like remaking a bunch of games with their own twists
Like Heros of the Storm is a Moba
Hearthstone looks like Yu-Gi-Oh
And this, like everyone is saying, is like TF2
two engineer classes? this is going to be extremely stalematey
and way too many shields, jesus. can i kill somebody in this game?
I'm still going to prefer TF2
TF2 is simple. Every class is easy to understand, and with every class you instantly know what they are about. You don't even need to see the names, all you have to do as someone who has never played the game is go

and kill this douche first.
Instantly every single character is obvious to you. You know what they do and it's that simple. But this game? there is literally no role indication and that's dumb. That's terrible game design and I can already see that from the trailer.
it has a bunch of really stupid names and anime characters, who are clearly made to be remember-able yet ironically look like they'd be the most forgettable things ever.
this game has shit that's too complicated to understand when you're playing it open. Obviously you'll learn every single characters every single tactic eventually but EVEN THEN it's just too convoluted with junk.
If it's more like MNC or SMNC rather than TF2 then I can definitely see myself playing it since while MNC and SMNC were both fun, Uber sadly never kept up with the updates and they literally left both games to die.
But if Blizzard stays ontop with this game then yeah, I could easily see myself getting atleast 100 hours or more in this game.

"Moba" is a genre, not a game. Hearthstone is just like a lot card games, not just Yu-Gi-Oh in particular. If anything Blizzard has always had the ability to create something that refines an already popular genre. Look at WoW, Starcraft 2, and Hearthstone, some of the most popular games of their respective genres.
Even Diablo. Almost all their games are extremely popular.
That robot monk guy looks hella cool

As Remi Ismail said, everything is a remix, especially videogames.
wonder how long till Rule34

not the first though that would ever come to people's mind but okay
wonder how long till Rule34
I see you'd love to jerk it to some robot dwarves
is that your first impulse when it comes to any new game that's out?

How are the characters in this game not obvious mechanically at all? there's tons of role indication. this guy is giant gorilla, what do you think he is going to do to you? this guy is a zen innerpeace robot, what is he going to do to you? this girl is in a track suit, wonder why's that. there is plenty of role indication and it's really quite obvious what most characters do by literally just looking at their character design. Hell, my older brother doesn't even play videogames and I just asked him wtf he would think all those characters do and he was spot on, so.
Maybe i'm biased, but oh well. I'm personally pretty hype for the game, gonna try and get into the beta

Maybe I'm biased as well and I just have a tf2 style boner for no reason. I just thought TF2 was more obvious.
its still obviousish here but not quite as easy to see is what I meant to say.
Man, I remember when Blizzard was teasing their new game to be "a whole new franchise" and then it turned out to be Hearthstone and everyone was like "THAT ISN'T NEW IT'S STILL WARCRAFT YOU CLODS." Nice to see Blizzard has an original game to show this time around, and not even a tease for it.
People have already said it, but it reminds me of Monday Night Combat way more than Team Fortress 2, and I'm ok with that as long as it's as fun as MNC.
Was hoping for warcraft, but not expecting it

The dwarf is the engineer, obviously. And it obviously goes apeshit if you dare to destroy his guns. Pretty in-character.
The robot-thing is a transforming mecha who trades firepower for mobility. Expected as much.
The angel girl is the local doctor, because that's the sort of thing you can expect angels to do. Priority target
The huge armored guy/thing with the hammer is obviously going to be slow and armored as fuck. He's a MMO tank. Gang up on him
Totally-not-Gray-Fox is going to be all about stealth and ninja maneouvers. Calling it now.
The archer guy is the Sniper with the Huntsman equipped 24/7. He's gonna be nerfed
And so on and so on and so on...
um Widowmaker's story is beyond fucked up
