Finally, I can see if it works on my computer.
I'm seeing a concerning ratio of disagrees for this. I hope it doesn't suck, but I guess I can try it for free.

Then they did a few tweaks that are okay. Made things a bit more challenging. But as of right now they seemed to lose their minds and a lot of things they added and changed don't make sense. They don't really complement the game. We've been long over due for new heists, instead we get half assed remakes/reskins. They released DLC that you actually have to pay for which should have originally been in the game for free. I'm almost level 100 but i can't even play the game much any more. I got my hours of fun out of it, I put it down as soon as it became a grind fest and the focus of executing awesome heists was lost. It is now a "shoot em up" game as i call it. They've shoved as many units onto a map and tweaked their stats instead of fixing AI and making them smarter. Overall it was a great game imo and if you get it you'll enjoy it but after doing the same heists a dozen times it will lose it's magic.

Increasingly common content updates, and increasingly common unnecessary gameplay updates. PD2 fans are the same as Battlefield fans. We get extra content, buy/download it, then bitch about it after playing it for 12 hours straight. Don't put too much stock in our opinion. :v:
Wow this game did get boring. Finally installed it, and it's just L4D, but kinda boring. [editline]20th March 2014[/editline] Maybe if there was a single player story, in the spirit if the Sly series, maybe it could have had some delicious taste.
It started out fun, and got increasingly and grossly more 'difficult', where you'd never have enough ammo, and then they'd boost the spawns of the super-high-health enemies to a stupid level. It became so boring that I ended up uninstalling the game long before any of the DLC came out. And that's completely beside the fact that the Dev team may be made up of the most openly cuntish people possible.
it used to be less like l4d with cops but then updates ensured that stealth is no longer viable and that a steady supply of cops are there to kill
Even without stealth, the maps in the first game all had their own special gimmick. Now they're all mostly about carrying bags and running around pretending you're mega man
Yeah uh, my ass. Can't play a game if it's not there.
The 1st Payday is better, right?
The first PAYDAY had 9 solid Heists which were fun and unique, however the gunplay was kinda bad. In Payday 2, there are several heists, but they kinda repeat, they aren't as original as the ones in PD:TH, but the gunplay is amazing, so there's no doubt that. I'm on the opinion that sure, there are some overused levels for some heists and I sure as hell wouldn't mind either a bit more heists, or just even 1 or 2 very interesting ones, but I still play the game to this day. The challenge is good, and shooting cops has never felt so satisfying. The game had a bad launch, but IMHO, with every big update, it starts to feel like a more complete game, like it should have been at launch.
The game shouldn't be about shooting cops. It should be about using your skills to steal a lot of money, or valuable shit. It's only when things go badly that you should shoot your way out. They made it into Left 4 Dead except the zombies are cops.
Never said about this being mainly a cop shooting game. I like where they are going with the new missions cause they offer the possibilities of both going loud and stealth, examples being the Go Bank and Election Day. The game is heading in the right direction with the latest updates. And don't even listen to those idiots who keep whining about the stealth update. They need to learn exactly what they have changed first before whining like the morons they are.
The 1st Payday is better, right?
I always thought so. Especially in terms of how much of a badass it makes you feel.

Ever since Payday 1 they were going for a video game version of Heat and that had a lot of cop killing.
Update the Xbox version. :|

Only changes I've noticed is the attachment system, the reloads are now considerably less slow-motion, and more restrictive loadouts. Personally I think that Payday 2 tries quite a bit harder to have a stealth element in it.
gunplay in 2 is better because the gun sounds are actually decent, theres a bit more recoil, and the enemies react more noticeably when getting hit by bullets
Personally I haven't noticed much difference in terms of sound design or recoil, but if the enemies do react more than I'd be more inclined to call that a downgrade than an improvement, a big annoyance in the original Payday was that enemies would overreact and appear to die before you'd actually killed them (that coupled with them being excessively bullet spongey).
Gameplay is just generally better in the second in most if not all aspects, but the first one had much better levels that so far exceed Payday 2's levels by far (haven't tried election day yet though). The thing that really made the game for me in The Heist was the levels, they were unique, crazy, and a load of fun. Payday 2's levels are small and get reptitive after a while. I still love the game though.
Plus Overkill has been pretty shaky as far as community management, when the game first launched and everyone was getting pissed off about how the game shipped with like half of the content that was promised, they basically replied saying "wow guys just because we put stuff in promotional materials doesn't mean we actually have to add it, jeez". Since then, every time they add the tiniest little thing in an update, they make doubly extra sure to rub it in everyone's face that HEY GUYS FREE CONTENT YOU GUYS SHOULD SEEING THIS MAN WE'RE PRETTY DAMN COOL
