I was hoping for a mario 64 type of game but oh well. It just seems like with Mario Nintendo overly focuses nostalgic factor; sure it was cool the first couple of times to see a reference back to the original games but now it seems that makes up big chunks of recent ones. Yeah we get it, the original Mario was very successful and everyone recognizes the 8-bit look of it, but please stop doing it and make new original elements.
Maybe this is what they're trying to do with Super Mario 4. At least the name suggests that this is a successor to the old ones, and not a new "spin-off" or series.
hopefully no more space stuff, that irked me in mario galaxy. i much preferred sunshine for that reason.
but something like mario 3dland would be amazing

People who still give a dang about Nintendo.
If you don't like Mario then you're going to be severely limited on good choices of games for Nintendo systems. Even though it sounds like the Wii U might get some third party developers on board.
