That's one hell of a cast. Now let's see if the gameplay can match up.

It doesn't.
"Cleese plays a madman without fear named Cadwell"
I thought that was him!

I doubt it. Unless they're doing a whole new way to approach combat, and how spells react with enemies, it's going to be bland, unimaginative, and just another pale MMO that will succumb to the Free to Play area of Steam, possibly. Or it will become like SWTOR's model.
Either way, I've yet to see gameplay videos that make me want to buy, or play this. I mean if it's free to play, why not. But a subscription on top of the initial purchase? Not worth it. Even if it is the TES trademark.
I hope they make the combat actually require skill instead of just kiting like every other TES game
It's better than the average MMO that comes out.
But even that voice cast won't save it from the way it feels. Which is sluggish, repetitive and irritating, since loot chests are server dependent.
So you're gonna have people crowding over the same loot chest trying to get it first and it's not even that good loot.

It doesn't. Skill spam and shield blocking wrecked everything.

I think they fixed that last beta? I remember coming across Lots of un-looted chests even with a lot of people around.
The beta was fantastic!

Most chests are clientside. But the big loot chests with good armour inside and stuff aren't, the ones with locks.
Bloating the budget hiring hollywood actors is so painfully dumb I still don't understand why developers do this. Nobody is going to be wanting to play your game more based upon the fact that you managed to waste money on a few screen actors instead of professional voice actors.
Is it just me, or do some of these voice actors sound out-of-place for a TES game? It might be just me.
Malcolm McDowell as Molag Bal sounds badass, though, but I think his voice is sex incarnate so I'd listen to his voice even if he was talking about having anal sex with a woman with horrifying diarrhea.
Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration.
Bethesda has an awful tendency of picking great actors for their voicecast and then use them twice in an entire game.
The entire VA budget of Oblivion was blown on Patrick Stewart and his character dies within 10 minutes of the game.
Fallout 3 had Liam Neeson whose character disappears for 90% of the game's main quest, and Malcolm McDowell who recorded about 5 lines for a radio channel and about 5 more for his actual character.
And they all do a really fucking terrible job in their respective games. Apparently when recording his lines Malcolm McDowell threw an ego fit over the guy responsible of the recording because he asked him to do another take and sound more aggressive.

Christopher Smith did a great job at voicing Molag Bal in Skyrim, and at least he's a professional voice actor. McDowell makes for a fairly terrible voice actor because he has a single way of saying things and will refuse talking in any different manner.
Bethesda needs to learn we want new gameplay, I dont care about having 5 cool voice actors say something to me when I'd rather have that money spent on cooler stuff.
Like giant mudcrab boss battles.

True, but it works sometimes (ex: Metallo from the DCAU).
Thats more voice actors in the title then there were in oblivion
I'm already afraid this is going to turn like SWTOR where they spend tons of money of voice acting just for it to fail in the endgame part of the MMO causing it to go free to play 5-6 months down the line. I really hope it doesn't but I just don't see this ending well especially after the last article I read about this saying something about them not knowing how to appeal to both the MMO crowd and the Elder Scrolls crowd. They can't appease both is what I'm thinking.
So that's where all that money went!

And then the same small handful of VAs end up voicing everybody else and you keep hearing repetitions everywhere.
Honestly I'd say it's just better to not have voice acting at all and do all the dialog through text.
Cool that they got John Cleese, looking forward to when it removes the subscription and makes it a pay once deal and I can get it during some sale

They're more likely to go F2P then the Guild Wars model.
