most cringe moment today

literally
More like The Sims 4 get it together.
Eugh, this idea of having all this dlc for the previous games then reverting back to how the previous game was vanilla and releasing the same content as dlc for the new game is just absolute bollocks and completely contradicts with what a sequel should be. I would be happy to own Sims 4 if it was Sims 3 but more but it isn't, if I want the real sequel to Sims 3 I have to wait for another 3 years of dlc to be released then shell out £300ish on it all.

This dlc isn't even that similar to any Sims 3 dlc, I'm still frustrated about the dlc situation though.
No one wanted this lol
Very underwhelming. My Sims 4 is unplayable at the moment too, completely riddled with bugs. Thanks EA and Maxis.
The sims for me feels like a dead franchise my best moments in the game were sims 1 upto Makin Magic & Superstar (Great expacs) and Sims 2 with the Open for business. Going to work as the new sims is sort of cool but gets a bit repetitive
Loved the Sims up until TS4. Something about the game feels so small and empty, and this is doing nothing to make me want to go and play it.

Sims 4's a mixed bag for me. It does a LOT of things I love and a lot of things I hate. It has the potential to be great with enough good expansions, but this one looks really lame. Which is more of a shame because the first expansion was pretty good.
Sims 2 was probably the best Sims, Sims 3 was alright if you have every expansion, and this doesn't even look like an expansion at all, no real features advertised in the trailer
This is a really vague expansion pack. All I'm getting from it is partying and... that's it. Partying in a vaguely European city.
It really is like the Sims 4 dev team doesn't give a shit about what they make as long as it involves living a luxurious, high-energy life.

Considering that the previous expansion and both game packs they've put out were actually pretty damn good, this is surprisingly not as good. Stuff packs are still garbage though.

"Pretty Patio Stuff"
Rolls right off the tongue and straight into the recycle bin.
What about an expansion to get rid of loading screens and a bigger town
The fuck is this? This just reads like 1. A "stuff" pack adding some new town and a few silly features like we saw in TS3, or 2. A really piss poor attempt at the classic vacations expansion.
One town, some random German place, where we can go and have a virtual rave? WELL SHIT EA! TAKE ALL MY MONEY! NEVER BEEN TO A RAVE BEFORE!
Jesus Christ EA. Your press conference was bad enough.

Sims 3 would have been tremendously better if it had better optimization. The game was too big for its own good because it absolutely fucked up the framerate and initial loading time.
Sims 4 was the opposite effect with literally fucking nothing to do in it, which was part of EA's tactics at the time to strip as much content from their games as possible to sell it back as DLC. This is the same tactic they tried to apply to the Dungeon Keeper phone game and it failed horribly.

The Sims wouldn't have made it to 3 if EA actually put all the Sims 1 expansion packs into 2. It would make a great game but there would be no possible way to come up with expansions people give a shit about, and cutting off that stream of revenue isn't exactly ideal.
Seriously, the Sims wouldn't exist in nearly the same capacity if this rehash of expansions didn't happen every game.
