Anything else would be dumb, since the Xbox One doesn't play 360 games

Didn't stop the PS2, whose last game has yet to come out (FIFA 14, September 24th). Still, I'm not sure how profitable the PS2 was in its later years. Maybe 13 years is too long.
Good move considering the Xbox One might not have the most brilliant sales stats.

IIRC the PS2 is actually still selling really well in the middle east.
Anyone with an Xbox should be taking advantage of Games with Gold and all the sales that are going on right now.
So, at this point, aren't they pretty much toting the 360 around with a crash cart ready?
"Sir, the console is feeling a tad aged"
'Nonsense, Johnson, move over!'

'See? Good for a couple more years.'
Then after 3 years they pull the plug and all the things you bought with your hard earned money cant be played anymore.
It will be like Xbox original live and how sad everyone was about halo 2 but it will be for every 360 game ever...
:(
the future is here

yeah, microsoft paired up with the illuminati and are installing microchips in your brain to make you only buy microsoft games, too.
but they won't fool me!
It won't. People will get the next-gen consoles and forget about current-gen around winter next year, and devs won't want to lose money releasing versions that won't sell.

the PS2 would like to have a word with you
The 360 was dead to me 2 years after launch. I got over it, I've got a feeling other people will be able to do the same thing.
