• Computer freezing when logging in. + internet refuses to work

Win Vista 32bit. So basically when i log into any user account on my pc it logs in, gets to desktop and when i click anything the screen turns transparent white, i waited for 2 hours, nothing happened so i restarted and tried again, only thing that seems to work is safemode. I tried to use repair function on the boot cd, but my computer informed me to remove any media devices like cameras etc. I have none connected, i tried removing everything but the keyboard, i even tried with a different keyboard, still same error. I think it might be connected to that i installed my printers drivers recently. Also my computer refuses to connect to the internet(connected directly to the router trough wire, it has worked for 2 years before also the laptops wifi connection works) , it tells me it has connection in "networking" window but it does not connect to it (internet sign with a red X on it on taskbar). I have used ccleaner, scanned with hitmanpro3.5 and found no viruses. My bitdefender, windows firewall and windows antivirus refuse to start working telling me there is some kind of unknown error. I could format my harddrive and reinstall windows but i have no place to backup my files. also system restore did not work because my restore points have disappeared. I think that should be all. //i logged in and could use my windows in normal mode when it gave me the option "use last good know settings" and i noticed no strange processes in the task manager, but it was only for once and has not worked with "last good known settings" anymore.
Buy a cheap flash drive, backup, reformat with a better operating system.
