Metal Gear without Kojima is not a true Metal Gear. Why are we still here, just to suffer?
So what, is James Bond without Ian Fleming not a true Janes Bond story? Because the movies have been going on for over 50 years and Fleming died in the late 60s iirc.
as said before, if you've bashed Konami as the worst company ever and buy this game regardless, for consumer use, you're braindead [editline]18th September 2016[/editline] if you want to support who you believe to be the real developer, buy HIS game instead.
To be honest, I may still buy this game. The game engine is so nice and having Coop can make a shit game still fun. Seems like a waste of a game engine.
Seems like a waste of a game engine.
Just out of curiosity, would you still say the same thing if it weren't labeled as a Metal Gear title? While I'm not too keen on the fact that they're calling it a Metal Gear game (regardless of it being a spin-off), the game itself in terms of concept is actually not that bad of an idea based how it was presented in the gameplay demo (at least in my opinion), even if it is basically just Generic Zombie Title #4739 in the long run. And before anyone jumps my shit about asking this, I'm not saying the game will be good just because it has the Metal Gear title thrown into its name; for all I know, it could very well be a total shitfest upon release. I'm just trying to view what's been presented from a more neutral standpoint than what I've seen most people doing at this point (and that seems to mostly revolve around flaming at Konami or condemning the game just because it has Metal Gear in the title and praising Kojima in the process).

The fact that it's basically just a shit ton of reused assets, doesn't have the pioneer of the series at the helm (nor a great deal of the studio), is ~~yet another zombie survival game~~, and happens to be made by Konami are all fairly valid criticsms.

Even though the story sounds dumb to me. The only part appealing to me is Coop, possible open world, and the fox engine. I don't plan to buy it on release, but wait for actual gameplay videos to see if it's worth it.
Metal Gear without Kojima is not a true Metal Gear. Why are we still here, just to suffer?
I fucking hated metal gear solid 5. Amazing gameplay I know but the story and characters were total shit. The sniper was just for causing erections, the military story important people back at the base were all 1 sided and Snake said like 6 lines in the whole game. Was that true mgs? I don't fucking think so buddy. This Mgs could be really fun just for shooting things since the developers there learned from working on all those games. I mean for fucks sake I can't believe how the other metal gear solid games had me laughing, crying, skeptical etc. but mgs 5 was only boredom. I am doing repetitive missions in a FUCKING METAL GEAR SOLID GAME? Where are the stupid lines and quotes or a cutscene to enjoy character development? I have accepted that there will be no other Metal gear solid game after I played this piece of shit. (Excuse me if I offended you if you really enjoyed the stealth and all the shooting . )

So im just gonna continue not being optimistic about a game from the company that, uh, quite literally fucked it all up.

There were bits and bobs in there that were outright false. There have been more convincing MGSV leaks than that over the years, all of which turned out to be lies.
