Has anybody played this? Is it any good?
It's pretty fun, not Sim City standards but it's still a good game.
What's the point in spending £30 on the 2012 version when you could just buy 2011 for £20 and then get upgraded for free?
Even though I hate the Cities XL series, I still find them fun despite their flaws. No replacment for SimCity 4 still.

They expect you to pay $15 USD for it. Considering they didn't support the 2011 edition even to fix its game crashing memory leak, I don't think anyone should buy this.
I never actually had any issues with the Memory leak. The problem with 2011 is the game was too shallow and the mechanics regarding trading were just plain fucked up. What's even worse is they advertise that you can "upgrade" to 2012, but they don't say that it's only a discount and not an actual free upgrade (regardless if you're logged in or not).
Just watched the trailer and stopped it 4 seconds in when I saw the devs used an exact copy of a video copilot tutorial for their ident...
I think I'll wait for Cities XL 2013 or maybe even 2014.
Can we make hyper-futuristic cities with this? I'm intrigued.
