No, unfortunately Tunngle does not have an android release available but I was wondering if anyone knew of anything similar that is available for android devices running especially on 4.0+.
For those of you who don't know what Tunngle is, it's basically Himachi but a more powerful and easier version. If you never used Hamachi then read below:
"Tunngle is a revolutionary peer to peer VPN solution that delivers the best online entertainment experience. Use the Tunngle virtual networks to play games online with your friends with all the commodities of a Local Area Network party!
Just start Tunngle, start the game and go to the Local Network game browser. You will find your games there as if your mates were right at your place! Soon, you will realize that this P2P VPN will not let you down since it actually works with almost any game!"
Tunngle-like applications would be perfect for android. It would make global gaming easier for those who want to run a private server or even just play those games that only run on Local-WiFi (Minecraft).
If they were to make one then it should be layed out something like this:
Games available on this device: (Games you already own on your android device)
N.O.V.A 3
Modern Combat 3
Minecraft
Dungeon Defenders
Need For Speed (Which ever you like)
You would then click on one of the listed games and it would show continent servers:
USA, Europe, Asia
Once you click on one of the continent servers it would show you all the private lan rooms being hosted and underneath each room it would show you the creator so that you could see if your friend is the one running that room.
(This is where I don't know my technilogical side)
Hopefully joining a room would do something to your network enabling your phone to connect to that lan game if you access the game.
Might be a really stupid idea but just throwing it out there. If something like that isnt available will someone make it haha!
Cant that be done with one of the million Virtual Private Network solutions?
Use a VPN that Android supports
