Can a piece of data be used against you in a court? [Countries poll]

I am living in Poland and law in my country says, that single SMS is treated as you catched on video, or more direct piece of data.
I mean: anyone can text from your phone, so why it can be used only against owner of the SIM card. The same with your internet/pc data.
In my opinion, yes.

Well of course data can be used against you. However they can't just use that alone to build a case.
This piece of data you speak of will be one of the many things used as evidence in a court of law.

Pretty much ever CP conviction is made via data on someone computer, even if you attempted to delete that data. It's pretty tricky because you could accidentally view something illegal, attempt and fail to remove it, then be charged with CP offences.
I remember someone on FP linked something to CP in some thread and everyone who clicked on it was freaking out that they might go to jail
