My Great Aunt just gave me a Mac 20" G5 with a shit ton of discs. It looks like the hard drive's fried or not in it. What should I do with it?
Edit: Wow.. It took only 3 seconds to install my usb IDE hard drive reader's drivers, and there's no operating system.
Sell it.
The hard drive is fried or missing because she didn't want you to find out her fetish.
Install Linux
Burn it.
Have an honest conversation with your parents.
find all the porn on it then sell it to pedos for loads of emone

He probably already has one.
Take a look at the little OS icon on the bottom left.
1. I have a real computer
2. I want to get it running with Mac OS 9, a nice operating system for macs.
3. I just put 256m ram in it's other ram slot so now it has 768m ram. (Wow DDR)
4. It looks kind of cool on my desk.
5. How do i get a new hard drive on it? It's got those star screws holding a frame onto the drive.
6. DDR and Sata in the same computer? It's more likely than you think.
It also came with a ton of manuals and upgrade discs and warranty cards and half of them say make an apple account so I'm not going to do that.

Well, I just plugged the "Fried" Hard drive up to an older computer and it's doing fine installing a Primary DOS Partition on it. Maybe Mac's are just stupid and can't read hard disks right. Dos is reading it fine.
Wait no.. Verifying Drive Integrity restarts when it gets to 99%.
