• GPU no display

Got a new gpu the other day, and when I installed it everything was peachy, no problems occurred. However, the next day when I turn on my pc, the monitor gave no display, however I could hear windows start up through my headset. I tried another monitor, nothing. Then tried the integrated graphics, that gives a display. According to the pc, there is no gpu connected - odd. I open up the pc, seems to be no problems that I can spot. I take out the gpu, blow the slot and put her back in. Boot up the pc, and it's fine. Turn on pc next day, it starts all over again. Take the card out and and give it a good clean along the edge contacts, also clean out the PCI-E connector, this can be done with a small lint free cloth with or without a mild solvent like IPA. Also while you're at it check the cable and connector to your monitor for any damage and give it a clean. Make sure the card is properly secured in the slot, it should not wiggle about more than a very small amount.
Thanks for the reply bit sadly hasn't worked. I'm still getting it so I have to replug for it to work
I can't really thing of anything else that could be causing it, try updating your BIOS and see if that helps. Also restart your PC a couple of times in a row and see if it does it.
Did you just install something? use safe mode, I was able to undo it when it happened to me. However, since then, sleep mode hasn't worked properly....
