So I've had this graphics card for about 2 years now, and I want to upgrade sometime in the near future. I'm looking to go Nvidia this time around, and I'm not really sure where to start. Any suggestions are welcome :)
Part of me is saying wait another year or so however, since I can push most recent games on max, or near max settings with my rig. Any thoughts?
You could probably wait, but if you want a new one, go ahead. What are you looking at budget wise?
Budget wise, $400-$500 range, if not less.
The budget solution is to buy another card and throw it into cross fire. Although according to techpowerup.com reviews the msi gtx 760 is a 100% improvement over your 7850, another budget solution.
First suggestion would be waiting for new technologies to pop out. GTX 800 series are rumoured to be delayed until early 2015's.
Budget is really high, could easily go with a 780 / 290x. Brand's not too important, as long as it has got a name you know (ASUS, Gigabyte, XFX, MSI).
I almost never would recommend crossfiring, because the performance gain is always less than 100%. The only time I would recommend it is if you already have a flagship card and are looking to get even better than that.
Anyway, if it isn't nessecary, I'd wait it out. If anything breaks down in the meantime, you'll have the funds backed up to replace it. Heck, if your card randomly dies on you, you can pretty much instantly replace it.
I have a 560 ti and a 2500 k, i was looking at getting an aftermarket cooler and a 760 ftw card , woudl this be a good idea??

Yes it is. Get a Cooler Master 212 Evo and OC it to atleast 3.5GHz. As for the 760, it's a very good and capable card.
alright, should i go for the 4gb memory or 2 gb memory version?
i know the 4 will obviously be better but is it worth the extra cost?
2gb. 4gb is a ripoff as it can't really use that much VRAM
