For one, surround sound doesn't sound like surround sound, it just sounds like you put all the sound output in a bathroom, I can't tell if sounds are coming from the front, back, or whatever. It's like stereo in a bathroom. Second, when the mic is activated I hear a 'eeeeeeeee' sound on the right speaker. Help please.
Oh, also, stereomix isn't working either now. What the fuck. [editline]10:09PM[/editline] Oh, also, stereomix isn't working either now. What the fuck.
Step1) Get your headset out of a fucking bathroom.
What kind of sound card are we talking about here?
Second, when the mic is activated I hear a 'eeeeeeeee' sound on the right speaker.
What do you mean "activated"? Plugged in, or when you're trying to talk in Ventrilo/TeamSpeak/Steam? How does it connect to your computer? USB? 3.5mm audio jack? Two jacks or more? What sound card? Is the mic plugged into the mic port or line-in?
The G35's do not use sound cards They are they're own sound renderer OP turn the little switch on the side which has the dolby digital symbol on and off [editline]03:44PM[/editline]
You can't put "surround sound" in a headset.
The G35's do not use sound cards They are they're[sic] own sound renderer
So they have a USB DAC/ADC? In that case, there's probably not much you can do without voiding your warranty. It's probably some faulty wiring or something. See if you can get a replacement.
Yes you can. They sound awsome.
It's not true surround. It's just some fancy DSP effects.
For all your questions: Activated, as in when I go on ventrilo, teamspeak, steam. It's connected through USB on the back on my computer, no fancy USB hubs here. My soundcard is a Realtek HD Audio. The G35 headset basically works as seperate speakers. It is not faulty wiring as I just found out that every customer that bought this get the high-pitched 'eeeeeee' sound when the mic is activated. I kind of fixed the surround sound thing, but I'm not sure whether it works or not. "OP turn the little switch on the side which has the dolby digital symbol on and off" oh yeah like I'm that dumb
