This is one of the greatest games you will ever play.
I'm on the fence about Earthbound, i mean Mother 3 was alright but i felt that it was severely over hyped by the fans, considering this is a SNES-era RPG.....i just wonder if it's really good, or if the fan base praises it because Ness appeared in Smash Bros, i mean honestly, how prominent was EB was before Smash Bros came out?
Hopefully they don't force any of that 50hz garbage or whatever, probably wait for people to comment about the speed in EU territories before deciding or not.

I think Earthbound did a lot of things right as far as RPGs go. It's not as grindy as some other SNES RPGs and I think it has aged quite well. Then again the SNES was my favorite/most played console so I do have a bias.

Nobody played it when it came out because:
-Nintendo of America severely fucked up the marketing
-they never released the first game in the series outside japan
In my opinion Mother 1 is the best of the series, doesn't get nearly enough attention
