Well, I'm the Nigerian prince. All I need to do is send my credit card number and my personal information and boom, I get millions of dollars. Bet you're all jealous!
I was part of a government project to get older people online. Seeing people 70, 80+ using google maps for the first time is an amazing experience.
I think these same people here in America work for my ISP

Another question for you young wippersnappers on the world wide web, what is download?
It's impossible to teach old people how to use computers.
My mother has a laptop yet still gets me to check her emails and print stuff out. When I offer to teach her how to do it, she says "I don't want to learn"

Not true. My grandma is eager to learn how to use the PC, and I taught her quite a bit.

Following on from what I said earlier, not really. Some are resistant, some are like wide eyed children.

I'd love to teach my grandma to use a touch screen phone. Unfortunately, this is what she chose:

EDIT:
I just noticed that the phone's logo is a pokeball for some reason. The fuck?
I think a Galaxy note would do, its the Doro of the smartphone world.
She can't even remember how to turn the Doro back on after the battery dies.
Well, the note only has 3 buttons :V
In my experiences, when illiterate end-users meet multiple choices, instead of evaluating/trying they will just give up.

Mediacom. I just ordered today DSL from AT&T and will get it next week. I'm going from 25MB Down, 5MB Up, No Bandwidth cap, to 6MB Down, 1.5MB Up and a 150gig monthly cap. But at least I'll be able to fucking use the 150Gb, and I'll save $130 in the process. Maybe I'll see the glory days of 20 Pings in games like I did when I had DSL with Bellsouth 14 years ago
Right now my Upstream power level is 62dBmv, and it stays like that until about 3 AM, and then it just jumps from 42 to 62 until peak hours again, and after having countless trucks out here, and even replacing every wire there is to do with them, the modem, even the RG35 CAT5 cables from Modem to my PC and Router, it's still not fixed. This happens With and Without the Router, and With the Xbox, and PC's, and even my old PC. They're just incapable of delivering internet
