Should I build a new computer now, or in a few months?

Alright, I've been given $700 to buy a new computer for myself. I'm going to give my current computer to my mom, but I can probably salvage the video card, since she wouldn't use it. We would need a replacement, since she will have two monitors. My computer is pretty good for today's standards, here:

I have no preference on brand of computer products, I just get the best bang for buck part.
Now, Facepunch, this is where you come in. I need to know if I should upgrade now, or wait a month or two before upgrading.
I already have a general build, and it isn't much better than what I have currently, aside from upgradability.

I have an extra $70 to spend on it, but I can't get a video card for myself (The one in the cart would go to my mom).
Also, I do not need a case, I already have one.
Please note that I am not upgrading just for the sake of upgrading, since I already love my computer, and have had no problems with it. I am building again because my mom REALLY needs a new computer, and does high demand programs, like Adobe Illustrator CS5 and such for her job. We decided that this would be the most beneficial to everyone.
Also, in the case that I shouldn't wait, can you suggest me a build? The budget can be expanded another hundred dollars if needed.
EDIT: Dammit, can a mod move this to PC building, I posted in the wrong section
wait for sandy bridge and bulldozer

Hmm, a few weeks or so till Sandy Bridge, and 'Some time next year' for Bulldozer. Probably can't wait for bulldozer, but I'll have a look at Sandy Bridge
That video card is a huge downgrade from what you have now...

Oh, I see. Get a cheaper one if it's just going in the old PC for your mom.

There's much better cards for less than that, really.

Wait a bit. That PC is still really good.
Your current PC is great, no reason to buy a new one.

I miss bad reading. Did you read why I was upgrading?

Also, it should be noted that I want to do this as soon as possible, because my mom is getting VERY sick of her current POS.

Explain the price drop on processors that will be coming soon due to Sandy Bridge. Hopefully she'll be understanding and tolerate her computer a little longer.

Hell, let her see this thread.

She should be fine for about a month. Sandy bridge comes out by then, right?

Should. It was already released in Malaysia.
I run two monitors off my 5450, one LCD and one CRT, both at 1280x1024. It works awesomely, I can have two HD videos playing fullscreen(one on each monitor) with no frames lost.

So it should be enough for 2 1920x1080 monitors, right? She won't be watching 2 videos at once, but maybe Adobe Illustrator and a movie? (One per monitor)
Also, thanks everyone, I'll wait for Sandy Bridge to be released, then build a computer.
yeah if you can wait until a little after sandy bridge
