I enjoy living safely in my home at night knowing that a police force is out there to deal with ruffians, in return for paying some taxes and having some cameras alongside the lampposts.

Anything by him is amazing, I'm half way through the third book I think? I love his imagery and the way he describes things, and just how crazy it is. Like that one dude he kept killing like a million times. Or how, for a moment, nothing happened. Then, a few seconds later, nothing continued to happen. Just all the contradictions and oxymorons and everything, I love it.
