literally who?
She was a giant Youtube "star" back when Youtube was still relatively new.
Does this have anything to do with the Guardian article from yesterday? (Or the day before?)
I actually recognize the name, though I don't remember watching any of her videos, cool that she suddenly returned.
The name sounds familiar but I don't think I know a thing about her content
wonder what her reaction will be to what youtube has become over the seven years she was apparently gone
I have no idea what this is about so I went to her channel and looked at the about tab
lonelygirl15, the first of many shows within the fictional LG15 Universe, tells the ongoing story of a group of young adults fighting against a mysterious secret society called, The Order. Seeking to avenge the death of their friend, the ensemble cast travels the world to protect girls with a rare and valuable blood trait sought after by the Order for its life-extending properties. On the LG15 website, community members can interact with the characters and each other in the forums, chat rooms and comment boards, and can create their own community generated videos and storylines that add to the ever expanding LG15 universe.
She had like 10k subscribers?
Because I've never heard of her.

It's actually shocking how many people have never heard of lonely girl. She was huge back in the beginning of YouTube
ahh back when 148k subs made you a superstar
now thats not even enough to go full time
What, did she feel lonely?
Her account was probably one of the first major youtube ARG series. It's really bizarre because, if I recall correctly, unlike something like EMH, her channel kept up a 'regular' appearance, as in, very little that was noteworthy for a long ass time before any of the ARG stuff happened
Wow, that is a name I haven't heard in a very long time. Never watched any of her videos myself, but I can remember that she garnered quite a lot of viral and media attention way, way back.
I remember seeing her all over the YouTube front page and not realising until later that it was more than just a vlog

Emphasis on relatively new. Can't have an audience of millions if there aren't millions of potential people to have view your content.
I've been on Youtube for a long time and not even once have I heard of this woman.
People might be dumbing the thread but that channel and the videos were a massive thing in the early days of the site. I was never a fan of it, but it wasn't just some shitty youtube meme at the time.
