• Math help. (precalc) What the fuck does this mean. (ƒ ° g)(x)

It's not (fx)(g), since the notation is an open circle. I've never seen that before, google has failed me, and I have no idea what to do. Yes, I looked in chapter pages, and I'd rather not go looking through dozens of pages of formulas and shit to find the meaning of it. I figured facepunch would find a solution faster.
f(g(x)) if I recall correctly.
it means that wherever in the equation you see a g, you would plug in f(x), and vice versa.
Fuck it's only been a few semesters since I toke calc.2 and I can't remember this; not good. Where's JohnnyMo when you need him?
