• $1300 Gaming Build

Hello, I'm making this thread for a friend that wants to build a gaming PC. Budget: $1300 Games/Apps: Team Fortress 2, Metro Last Light, Alan Wake, Deus Ex Human Revolution, CS:Go. Also gonna need to buy a copy of windows 7 Resolution: 1366 x 768 He has a keyboard, monitor, mouse and speakers, pretty much only needs the the actual desktop. Locaton: US We were planning on buying parts from Newegg unless if there's a better site for that. Also I would like to give a shoutout to users FINLEY and FalcoLombardi for helping me with my build 3 years ago. I've had zero problems with my PC and really appreciate the help. Thanks.
My suggestion: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1dVs7 Normally I would suggest the HX750 and the G45 gaming, but newegg has a special offer: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1326986 The G45 gaming is slightly better in that it has better sound quality, but the D3H gigabyte has better USB options, and from what I hear better BIOS. The overall quality is pretty near, and the choice is up to you. I would also like to add that I just purchased that combo deal and accidentally wound up with two. Customer service is offering to refund it and all, but I think it might be easier to just resell it. Not to mention I could start building my new computer now, instead of waiting a few days. Obviously it's all unopened and untouched, and I would be willing to sell it to you for $20 less than what newegg is offering and of course pay for the shipping. I would also forward you all the information you would need for newegg's return policy of course. I'm in Georgia, so I don't know if shipping would be faster from newegg or not. You can private message me if you're interested. Also add an optical drive to that if needed.
Resolution: 1366 x 768
Your friend should really buy a new monitor, a $1300 computer is pointless otherwise, get a 21.5" 1080p screen or better
I should stop browsing this section a GTX 770 in Australia cost 500 dollar on average and it makes me very sad

It seems like everywhere except America gets screwed over by exchange rates except in very rare cases.

Unfortunately he says he would prefer to purchase from the sites so he's gonna pass on your offer. We really appreciate the help though! He says he plans on getting a better monitor down the road but he just wants the pc for right now. As far as what sites to buy from, try not to limit yourself to just newegg. They have great customer service, but they aren't the only ones and won't always be the cheapest. Also make sure you always read the return policy in full of the item you are buying. My advice would just be use pcpartpicker's suggestions as long as you are fine with the return policy (also keep in mind some microcenter products can only be picked up in-store with no shipping option).

The pcpartpicker site seems like a great resource as well. Thanks again for your help!
