• Should I be worried about my HDD

A few months ago I noticed my PC booting slowly so I decided to defragment both of my HDDs, and I noticed that one of them was slower in the "benchmarks". After checking out the SMART, I noticed slower spin up time (700ms slower) and a few CRC errors, but it hasn't gotten worse since then. Should I be worried or is it just fine? I don't think there's anything you can do about the spin up time. If I also recall correctly DMA CRC Errors are usually communication errors (usually with the cable). If you're not receiving any errors or problems then I'd say it's nothing to worry about. One of my hard disks has been running on the same cable since I got it in 2010. It constantly flashes warnings at me on SMART, but I've never noticed data loss or any other problems. The problem with UDMA CRC Errors is that once they're logged they are always there. So if you have a faulty cable and you fix it, the errors will still remain logged.

Thanks for the info, I'll mark as solved
