How Do I upgrade from the Windows 7 RC to the full version

First of all, I'm buying windows 7 once it comes out, but I want to know if I buy the upgrade version, can I keep all my files to get from my RC to Home Premium, or if I have to buy the full version and do a clean install. Any help?
There's an extremely buggy and unreliable way to do it I think, but if you're not someone working for Microsoft, just backup your files and install over.
You pretty much have to do a clean install, but you can do it with the upgrade version.

No, you can't upgrade it without modding a certain file on the install disc.
Get the full version
You just install the upgrade as a trial by not entering a product key, then use your upgrade disk and key to "upgrade" from the trial. Requires 2 formats I think, but it works.

AFAIK MS promised that there would be an easy way of doing it, but if not there's always the Vista upgrade method, namely:

More specifically, you boot from the CD and perform a Custom Install without entering your product key. Once that's done, you use the CD to upgrade within windows and use your upgrade product key. Takes longer but it works. (Unless MS evilly disabled it in Windows 7)
Actually it's easily possible, apparently it just requires you to change a config file number, and that'll bypass the "You can't upgrade to the full version blah blah" bullcrap.
You DO need to have W7 Ultimate though, and I don't think you can only use an upgrade edition.

Of course it's always "better" to do a clean install, but chances are you haven't been running the RC that long anyways to warrant another full clean wipe of your system, so in my eyes an upgrade will be fine.
