Alright, so I have this guys computer. He's got a problem with Windows Media Center (Center, not Player). So pretty much, his TV tuner isn't showing up (he has the TV Tuner in a PCI Card) and it's having a bad time downloading the TV Guide info. Keeps popping up with this. SP1? Is it warez'd or something because SP3 is the latest.
SP1? Is it warez'd or something because SP3 is the latest.
Naw, it's a legit genuine version. And it's Media Center, not XP Pro. I tried installing the SP3 update but it failed saying it wasn't compatible.
Because SP3 for MCE2005 is different. Use MS update. http://www.update.microsoft.com

When Windows Update fails, it usually gives you some 0x12345678 error code. Copy/paste it in the search box and it will tell you what it means.

But it came up with some thing like "An error occurred in the update, press ok to roll back changes." Kinda out of luck.
Windows must be pretty fucked up for updates to fail. Reinstall Windows.
Planned on it actually. I was just thinking about looking for a new program to watch tv on. Media Center seems to be a big hassle.
