• 4679 Overclocking

I recently purchased a 4670 and I would like to overclock it. It's default core clock is 750MHz and the default memory clock is 400MHz. I OC'd the core to 800 and the memory to 500 and my computer crashed while in a game of TF2 about ten minutes later. I have a small overclock on it right now. OC'd- Core:780MHz Memeory: 440MHz These are the temps of my system with that current OC on the GPU. These are the temps after an hour of Team Fortress 2. As you can see the GPU idles around 38C and maxes at 61C underload. Link to my GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150450 Does anyone currently have a 4670 and can tell me what they have it overclocked at and if it's stable? Thanks in advance. [editline]04:31AM[/editline] Can a mod please edit my title? I meant to say 4670.
I've read that the 4670 doesn't overclock well, and the overclocked versions on newegg only net about one more fps. But let me know your results, because I have a 4670.
When I had OC'd the first time I was getting 20+FPS than I was before. What's with the dumb?
Push everything to the max and then lower the clock core untill it stable.
Use the CCC to overclock, overclock the Core and memory speeds with 5mhz until you see artifacts and then clock back till you don't see them anymore.
I used to have one, I couldn't get more than a 20mhz overclock without running into artifacts and crashes.
In my experience the 4000s don't overclock much, probably because ATi already pushed them, and what little you get doesn't yield many FPS anyway.

I'm not sure how the 4670 overclocks. I have a 3850 and they are the same performance wise. I slide everything to the right on CCC. I haven't ran into problems, ever.
I probably won't be able to overclock it very much. My case is m-ATX and is extremely small. I have a lot of PSU cables and bad airflow in my case. I guess I'll overclock later once I get a new case or even a new case/card. Thanks everyone.
