My cousin just gave me a pc for free which is sweet as fuck because I was in desperate need. I know the 4gb+ rules with ram but I only have 3gb, however I have heard that the ram in your videocard plays a role too and this 9800gtx+ oc edition has 512mb.
My computer has been acting funky and bsod'ing so I think I might just do a boot and nuke then install 64bit windows 7.
CPU: Intel core 2 quad @ 2.4ghz
RAM: 3072mb
Video card: 9800gtx+ (it says spprox. total ram is 1776)
The GPU doesn't play a role in that.
And switching to 64-bit is not going to make it run faster.
Well if you DO reinstall it won't hurt. In the future you might get an upgrade which will benefit.
64bit computers emulate 32bit perfectly. Plus you get a massive epeen boost.
There isn't any real downside to using 64-bit Windows, and 32-bit serials will work with the 64-bit edition, so you might as well install the 64-bit version if you're going to reinstall anyway.
