Yeah so, I'm probably going to build my own this time and I thought if you people could help me get the maximum firepower out of this 1,200€ budget. (Give or take)
I live in Finland, so newegg is out of question.
Also I've sorted things kinda..
Long-lasting Shit
- Tower Case! (1 Decade too far fetched? :v:)
- I dunno?
Shit that needs to be upgraded every now and then
- CPU, GPU, RAM, etc?
I mean, mostly just a case which is good and so on, that I can keep upgrading the shit around it. (I wouldn't wanna upgrade tower case, seems a bit weird)
What I'm planning to buy here is: Case, Power-thingy, Motherboard, Graphics Card, Processor, Harddrives and the likes, CD/BLURAY-players or something, maybe RAM. I also need a monitor, Windows 7(cheapest?), and that's it.
I buy new keyboard from somewhere here so I can feel them actually. I already own a good mouse.
Now I got some DDR2 memory sticks worth of 4GB RAM in my old/broken PC, and the rest is pretty out-dated like dual core intel (4400something?) and so on. So I guess I just throw most of those things at waterbirds.
So, any suggestions? Might wanna start with a good international pc hardware store that ships to Finland, I don't know any..
[editline]03:24PM[/editline]
Oh and the games I play are most definitely Team Fortress 2 (This must be able to run smooth on maxi), and with 1,200€ worth PC I guess I'll try MW2 and maybe Battlefield.
Also with that kinda PC I'll be picking any cool enough for me looking singleplayer game. :p
Programs I use are mostly Web Browser, Media shit like vlan/winamp, uTorrent. That kinda bullshit.
[editline]03:26PM[/editline]
I don't like suggestions that are rated Disagree and Dumb.
Lol, no replies at all?
Crap.
don't expect a load of replies in the middle of the day, most people are at school/work

Or maybe not? And I'm the one getting banned for "Why reply?".. Woopdidoo.
Bump. Please, someone?
Also, I was browsing these prebuilt computers "designated" for gaming. I know you people don't like prebuilts, but how does this seems for example?
Ati Radeon 5850 1GB DX11
Intel Core i7 860 2.8GHz
Noctua NH-U12P SE2 Processor Cooler
Intel P55 mobo, USB 3.0 and Sata 6GB/s! (I don't know about that 6GB/s thingy)
8GB 1333MHz DDR 3
1000Gb Sata Hard drive
Some burning DVD player
Fractal Desing Define R2 + 650W Newton power-thingy
That costs 1299euros. It's not newegg, and that's the price. Is it horribly overpriced? A no go?
[editline]06:55PM[/editline]
Also, this one goes for 1450euros.
Ati Radeon 5970 2GB DX11
AMD Phenom 2 965 3.4GHz
AMD 790 mobo
8GB 1333MHz DDR 3
1000Gb Sata harddrive
Some DVD player

They seem all in all pretty good computers. But the price is what it is.
It has good specs but the price is a bit over what it should be.
But either way it has a i7 and i7's are pretty.
Those are actually pretty good, if a bit over priced. Get 4GB RAM instead of 8 if you can.
It says it's possible to change the specs if I just call there and so on.
But why? I mean, I'm getting win7 anyway, 64bit I guess, so it supports up to 8gb of ram at least. Besides, I wouldn't need to worry about upgrading RAM.
[editline]07:10PM[/editline]
Also, which one? 1200 one or 1400 one?
Need a screen?
[editline]09:38PM[/editline]
PM me your email, I'll send a wishlist thing to it. It's something I whipped up quickly, no screen. Costs at 1,205€ + shipping.

That's a stupid reason, sorry. DDR3 will only get cheaper, meaning a cheap and VERY easy upgrade in the future. If you buy 8 now, over 4GB of it is going to sit there completely unused. 4GB is more than enough for the average user.
