Seriously? It looks cool, but these "control centers" looks just like outposts in far cry 3. I feel like every ubisoft game is the same.
Did anyone notice at 11:23 that Diane Young by Vampire Weekend starts playing?
After seeing a preview, this video, and Conan all 3 playing the same side mission, I don't think they're random, and I know for a fact that the chase is scripted as dicks, and this video proves it. The player actually turned to go through a gated area before the guy he was chasing did I'm not trying to take anything away from the game, but he emphasized randomness and unscripted yet it was neither, and I just hate that I'm still looking forward to it, Ubisoft is on the ball as of late. Division, WatchDogs, Assassin's Creed 4, Listening to feedback and making actual changes with Mighty Quest. They're doing new stuff, and seemingly making it good. One could Argue AC4 isn't new but it's a whole setting that's surprisingly rarely done, and certainly isn't done to the extent they're doing it

If it's random, show it. You fail? OK that's still a game experience. Gives the players an idea that not every event will turn out how it should. I know videos are supposed to show "perfect" gameplay and showcase shit, but failure is ALSO a part of the game. They screw up on camera, players will screw up all the time. It creates a connection between the player and the person in the video. Oh well.
I had to laugh at the gun shop in the middle of Chicago.

It looks like an interesting concept; but the driving mechanics look very poor and the game doesn't really feel that polished. I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being a huge dud. [editline]5th September 2013[/editline] Also, if you wanted to hack another players phone and its clear they're going to shoot you as soon as they find out. Why wouldn't you just shoot them in the head or stun/taze them and take their phone? "Hacking aborted! player killed!" Wow that makes no sense at all.
I had to laugh at the gun shop in the middle of Chicago.
It would've made more sense if they made the gunshops into black market basement shops, like in GTA IV.

Oh well.
person demonstrating the game screws up "OH WOW I COULD DO BETTER THAN THAT. FFS WHY COULDN'T THEY GET SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO PLAY THE GAME TO DO IT? THEY SHOULD'VE DONE x INSTEAD OF y. HAHA WOW GOOD ONE UBISOFT YOU MORONS" Literally every time a developer demonstrates a game live and messes up, even a little bit, that's the only thing people focus on. It's easier to just script the demonstration of perfect gameplay so they can demonstrate how it would work ingame, than just play the game and hope the things they want to happen actually happen. Besides, they'd have to script the part where the human opponent enters the game, and the part afterwards where they go get revenge on them, even if it was just "at this point, you come in and hack my game, then you'll get away, and then I'll hack your game".
