Hey guys, I want to know if anyone else has a HTC Sensation and has a similar problem with battery life.
I've had the phone for about 3 months and the battery life has turned from bad to terrible. A day in my pocket with wifi off, almost no signal and sending about 4 texts I'm left with this:

What gives?
I obviously would believe it to be a faulty battery or even handset since I have managed to get the phone to 40C in temperature when playing a 3D game. Bloody damn hot for a phone.
I can get about 10 hours of usable battery life before I need to turn it off before it completely dies and even less if I try to play a game at some point during the day.
This is an image of the use:

Can anyone possibly fill me in on battery life on this phone in general before I decide to take it back to the store this weekend to get a replacement battery?
http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_sensation-3875.php the battery time is there, also do you have blue tooth, gps service, or anything else on that could be wasting battery life?
Up to 350 h (2G) / Up to 400 h (3G)
Lol what the fuck.
I have EVERYTHING turned off apart from mobile.
Get it replaced

I have it for my HTC Sensation. Battery now lasts about 3-4 days with normal use. I still charge every day though just to be sure.
I got it replaced and its arriving today. Thanks for the suggestion. Thats why I posted, was hoping for some insight.
The mic was broken on my current one too so win/win.
If the battery life is the same then Im going to install that app but I'm still going to regret buying the phone, I was after a powerful phone that would last over heavy usage and at the time this seemed great.
Should have gotten the Galaxy S II.
it's better is almost every way. I only went with the HTC Sensation because the SGS2 hadn't been released in the US yet.
Also, get the app anyways, it does not change any noticable behavior in the phone and the battery is way longer.

HTC sensation has a better screen resolution. To some people that makes quite a large difference
Galaxy wasn't out at the time. Besides the new handset is SO much better. Glad they replaced it without any problems.

This will be my final post here since problem is resolved but yeah. Clear difference within the same usage!
Same battery, left is new and right is old.
SO did you only get the battery replaced or the whole handset?
I think I should get mine replaced.
I have a feeling it's your signal, If you look at your graph the battery is stable till the signal strength drops. And your cell standby accounts for 64% of the usage.
Just a thought. Mobile phones do use more battery when the signal is weak as they attempt to hunt for a stronger signal.
My Desire HDs battery life isn't even anywhere near as bad as that (A day and a bit) and it was known for its immensely crap under-capacity battery. I have Wifi on all the time and auto sync for my emails set to every 5 minutes. I do live in an area with extremely good coverage however.
