I used to play WoW.
One of my friends kept saying Meep Meep. I then named one of my wow characters as CptMeep because of the word limit. Liked the name so I've kept it.
There was a hat I found that was manufactured by The J Hat company. Also, my name has J Hat(field) in it, so I took it as a sign from the gods.
I was originally just Zombie, then I decided to put a Mr. on it because everyone had Zombie in their name.
A stupid obsession with the Spetsnaz at one point. I'd change it if I could.
Boredom and not being able to decide between a joke or a serious name, I just picked Ashes randomly, I actually kinda like it
I have no idea. Honestly.
I'm bad at original names.
A simple portmanteau of Transylvania and The Zone from Stalker.
It was from my horrible sonic OC from when I was 10, sadly it has stuck to me, though I have been trying to change that more recently.
Gee I wonder which movie I loved so much made me put this name here? :v:
And on another note, I wanted to add the other name "Treann" on it but both names were over the FP characters limit.
I don't really know, I just know I dislike it now because it just reeks of spaghetti.
I don't like using the same name for every social media/network/forum/anything so I just pick random shit for whatever.
Terrible Japan obsession which ended years ago
It's not that horrible though. It just means "I'm L", which is the first letter of my name
When I played Gmod and the Half-Life series, I liked that old scientist guy named Dr.Kleiner
Zeratul(Starcraft)->My brain at 12->Kelazun->MMO games need to have characters with different names->this one
Name before that was Meen NOD
An halloween joke that suddendly stayed my name.
I stink at naming things. When I can't come up with a good name I tend to use something from Homestar Runner. Out of every possible thing, the default player name in the game 50k Racewalk was what I decided to use as a forum handle.
Back in the days when Pokemon Crater still existed, my friends convinced me to join, so I just mashed the keys, backspace some of the filler, and add vowels to where it's required.
I then wanted to use the name for YouTube, and since there was apparently another user with the name "Londier," so I added a big I'm obnoxious X
I had to come up with a fun name for Trackmania. Nowadays it sounds really stupid and I wish Garry would let me give him money in exchange for a better name.
It's my current AOL username that stuck with me. My mom made it when I was a fan of Homestar Runner back when the site updated. I still love the goofball, just wish he'd have new cartoons.
I had the kid in the rocketship on the Haribo sweet packets haircut for the large majority of my childhood including adolescence and i can't spell for shit so it has 2 Rs in it
:snip:
Once upon a time, I had a different account on Facepunch, registered in 2007. As a username, I picked the ridiculous moniker I used around that time. Due to the fact that it's fairly stupid, I won't mention it here.
Eventually, I grew absolutely sick of it. As I very rarely posted, anyway, and there wasn't any option to rename the account, I simply set the password to a long random value and locked myself out. I don't know whether I changed my e-mail address, too, but I had no intent to use that account again.
Cue February 2009. For some reason that's fairly oblivious to me, I wanted to register a new account. Because my new account was essentially an alt account - the old account was still technically mine, even though I abandoned it - I picked exactly that term as a name: Alternative Account.
If you're wondering: The old account was automatically culled due to inactivity and no longer exists. Posts made with it actually show up as made by a guest.
I play the oboe and my brothers favorite color is yellow.
Sounded decent as a name so I used it.
Mine originates from TF2, where I was playing mostly as Engineer with The Widowmaker as my primary.
It's my real name, believe it or not.
my three favorite team fortress 2 classes were the medic, the pyro, and the spy
medic was a doctor, so that makes the first part, and pyro and spy make up the second half
My username comes from the Mars Pathfinder mission rover, Sojourner, which in turn was named after Sojourner Truth. Sojourner landed on Mars on the fourth of July, 1997, and lost contact with Earth later that same year.
The word "sojourner" itself is a rough synonym for "visitor." I won't be here forever, but I intend to make the most of the time I have.

since my username is completely unoriginal, I'll just do this but with my steam name, Catfish
i have a friend named goldfish and hes pretty pro
so im like his distant blood cousin in the fish family
also it's just funny to look at as a username :v:
I was 9 at the time I made the name, and there was a minimum char limit of 4.
The "gk" will forever remain mysterious to anyone but me.
