Yo.
I've got XP and Win7 on my PC. Win7 is main OS. I rarely use XP. I have it for a few older games and just as a back up if Win7 gets fucked. Anyways... Problem is, the disk with Win7 on it, is shown as empty in XP. Nothing in it, and it says its empty when i check the disk space.
I guess there is an easy way to fix this? I hope so at least.
(I can view the XP disk in Win7)
Edit: Read HDD where i wrote disk.
Try booting to it?
Your PC does have a DVD drive doesn't it?
Uh yes?
When i say disk... I do mean hard drive (hard disk drive). Assumed it was obvious.
Oh sorry, it wasn't really.
I'm having this same frustrating problem., I can't see any of my internal HDDs in disk manager, or whilst installing Windows 7.
7 uses newer version of NTFS so XP shits itself. I don't think it can be fixed.
Also, linux makes a better emergency OS, because a virus which infects 7 would infect your XP install too.

NTFS hasn't changed since Windows XP with NTFS 3.1.
