• How do I set my HD4870's fan speed to below 50%?

Windows 7 installed an update, which royally fucked the ATI overdrive panel of my few month old CCC, one that I was keeping because the new CCC doesn't let you set your fan speed below 50%, and anything above 40 for me results in an annoying high pitched whining. Unfortunately, I had to upgrade to fix the problem and I'm now stuck with a fucking high pitched whine in my ears all the time. I tried editing the XML files, but with little luck. Help!
Just uninstall CCC and install an old one? [editline]08:05PM[/editline] At least it's not as bad as my CCC, shows fan speed as 24% when it's set to automatic, and 26% when I set it to 100%

I actually have the fan speed at 80% now, just to drown out the whine I get at 50.
Yeah, the interface on the new CCC sucks. I prefer the old interface myself, though :buddy:
