• Steam keeps giving "steam.exe - no disk"

So I boot up Steam today to find this error popping up. It literally just started happening right now. I was on the stable version of steam and also updated to the Beta release some how. I also popped in my copy of the orange box to see if that would fix it. it didn't. Can soemone help? [THUMB]http://puu.sh/1UMEL[/THUMB]
Try validating your game cache.
I wish I could but it happens right when steam loads and I can't treacly do anything after that except force kill steam
Are you running the beta? I looked the error up and I think it's just an issue with the beta.
I think (unless what Shadaez has said is true) that Steam has some corrupt files in it. I'd reinstall, keeping your GCFs.
Holy shit it fixed itself :suicide:
Having this issue as well, it seems to happen when updating/validating files, but I can start up any other game that ISN'T currently validating or updating, and it works fine. THIS seems to be the issue. If I try to validate TF2, it gets to 11% progress, and keeps giving the 'no disk' message. I'd really prefer NOT to have to reinstall TF2 or Steam, but I'm not sure what I could do to fix it. I've tried a check of the drive that I keep Steam on, and that's returned no issues or anything.
I get this as well, on empty card readers It's poor code trying to scan all available disks
