mm i cant really trust these visuals considering they outright lied about the visuals in the original game pretty pictures though
mm i cant really trust these visuals considering they outright lied about the visuals in the original game pretty pictures though
Well they did pump out an amazing game so it's easy to forgive them.
mm i cant really trust these visuals considering they outright lied about the visuals in the original game pretty pictures though
The game wasn't as pretty as E3 sure, but it's still an incredible looking game.
mm i cant really trust these visuals considering they outright lied about the visuals in the original game pretty pictures though
I can't believe people are still whining about the visuals of the game not being the same as promo stuff on E3 when it proved to be fucking amazing and the visuals are, even downgraded, some of the best in this years games.
mm i cant really trust these visuals considering they outright lied about the visuals in the original game pretty pictures though
When Witcher 3 was announced neither the engine was complete, nor the new console specs were known, so I'm pretty sure at this point they are aware of their limits.
The game wasn't as pretty as E3 sure, but it's still an incredible looking game.
That downgrade meme was the stupidest thing I ever heard The game looked great; if people expected it to look absolutely amazing if their computers were shit then boy they would be retarded.
idk, i thought kaer morhen looked just as good as the E3 stuff [t]http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/witcher-3-11.jpg[/t]
The game still can't escape from this "downgrade" garbage even after all it has proven to be? What a joke.
wasn't the downgrade just the sharpen filter taken off? PT and The Order 1886 really spoiled me so I'm always a little disappointed when games don't look that good but it's not a big deal that spoils the experience even a little.
mm i cant really trust these visuals considering they outright lied about the visuals in the original game pretty pictures though
why would they lie about the visuals of an expansion pack how would they even lie about the visuals of the expansion pack that'd be like them just making assets to show it off, then just making new assets that are worse
dat Roman and Western European architecture.

Other than that I don't think there were any real changes

Well maybe they aim to change that with the expansion?
Well maybe they aim to change that with the expansion?
Its unlikely that they'll be able to push it much further on the consoles, and i don't see why they would be willing to create the feature parity at this point. If all these effects where easy to do, they would have just kept them in, as a poorly optimized "Ultra" option. Rather then take them out, because its only going to work out on 1 platform, for less then 5% of the users.

However I'd assume that I'd be a lot of work to do just that because by the time they showed that the whole world wasn't probably done and they'd need to work it into all the areas.

Hot DAMN! This looks like concept art!
mm i cant really trust these visuals considering they outright lied about the visuals in the original game pretty pictures though
Even on lowest settings the graphics in Witcher 3 can match best of what Fallout 4 has to offer.
Unsurprisingly it looks great. I'm hoping the rumor that Blood and Wine takes place post-epilogue turn out to be true.

False advertising is false advertising, we all lost our shit over watch dogs and even if we don't have as much reason to lose our shit the trend of devs showing off games with way better graphics than they're going to have at E3 is a bit bullshit.
well yes but remember that watch dogs was also a shit game
Yeah but it's still an insane double standard to give the witcher a pass just because it's a solid game. I love this game to death and I'll happily pay for any DLC they release, but saying false advertising is fine if the game is decent is a potentially dangerous sentiment for the industry going forward.
I gave Watch Dogs a pass too. It isn't false advertising when it is clearly a pre-release product.

And still looked incredibly good and was a great game. Watchdogs took a dump on all of it.
People who fell for promotional images are bunch of tools in a garden shed, and making a big woohoo about it is even worse.
People who fell for promotional images are bunch of tools in a garden shed, and making a big woohoo about it is even worse.
Don't even start this lest we need to remember Dark Souls 2
That's clearly promotional, so what, they slapped bloom, blurring and some post processing effects to make the game look little bit better for promos, half of that you can put on some enb and call it a day, plus optimization -> graphics any time any day.
dark souls 2's downgrade wasn't promotional at all the technical test looked exactly like the non-downgraded visuals, the only reason they downgraded seems to be because they wanted more visibility
I can actually see this as a reasonable approach, since that's standard developer practice in design to make things easier to see for the players, plus in video the post processing effects look very obtrusive.
