If you've looked at PA originally and thought it looked cool but never decided to buy it, this would be the one to get. It's nowhere near the strategic level of supreme commander FA, however it's not bad by any counts now. Feels much more finished than the original did.
Depends if you feel like supporting a backstabbing company that gave the finger to early access buyers who spent $100 for an unfinished title, and don't even get access to the finished version.
Is the single-player still worth a bowl of dick-shaped turds?
I got the game for free a while ago, so I can't complain about that but the "singleplayer" was so shitty I played 1 game and uninstalled it afterwards
Multiplayer just doesn't attract me

By that I mean the AI, which basically just threw its commander at me until I killed him and I won...

What are you talking about? I know kickstarter backers got it for free, are you saying that steam early access people, who were charged the same amount that kickstarter backers were, didn't get Titans for free?

The AI is quite a bit better. Not genius by any means, but they'll build armies, expand, scout, harass, and just be generally annoying. My only complaint is the AI doesn't really seem to evacuate the ACU when I'm attacking it or threatening it. They'll dump everything they have nearby between you and the ACU, but the ACU will continue to just kinda... stroll around aimlessly.
I am so dissapointed they never went with this.

I wouldn't even care if the game only had flat maps, and I would play the shit out of PA if it looked (and actually played well) like that. They could've figured out a very easy solution to the whole, destroy a planet feature or something. It could just affect one part of the map, or they could just have two maps loaded simulatenously, but I'd rather go with the first variant.
I hate the stupid round planets, they look so boring. I wouldn't even have minded if they ditched them at all for this.

Well I guess it's better than just sending the Commander into a suicide mission against my whole army
I don't think PA is worth it at any price. Having said that, with the original PA me and a friend did have fun making star systems where planets would collide with eachother at set timings, and we'd evacuate ASAP while the other teams had no idea.

Oh so if you make a system where two planets would intersect naturally, they'd actually impact each other? Thats a nice touch.

They must have done that after I last played, because when I tried that so long ago the planets just went through each other.
I still won't buy this though, after they more or less told me to fuck off despite the fact I backed them, just not on kick starter. The only way I'd buy this game is if it was sub $5, given I already gave them 100.

Yeah it was possible to have one planet orbit faster than the other, or orbit in the opposite direction - I can't remember which. So we'd set the starting planet to be one that got hit by a gas giant, with a moon somewhere way off in the distance that we'd evac to.

We did this around the beginning of 2015.
It's sad they couldn't even improve upon Total Annihilation, not only that but the company is shady as hell.
Total Annihilation recently got on steam.. just get that instead, it's amazing, or on GOG, I think they have it too.

I don't know why anyone thought it was a good idea to give Uber money after SMNC. It's like how people are still giving Tim Schaefer money. I don't get it.

Pretty much yeah, they got a coupon which bumped off 60% of the price. Aka, the same thing as people who bought PA for anywhere from £22 to £2 on G2A did before Titans was released.

At least they didn't get the funding for Human Resources.
I honestly wish they made that game instead, at least then there would've been some diversity with the units, instead of just the same faction with different colours.
Don't give these rat fuckers the money
I gotta admit I am disappointed with how they're running it.
I mean I dropped $120 back on the kickstarted, one game key and 2 spares, but since the spares were never activated I'm afraid to give them to anyone because I don't want them to be stuck paying for titans when I got it for free.

still can't believe they had the fucking gall to try and sell another CGI trailer to people despite the state the planetary annihilation was in
christ, they were meant to save the RTS genre not shit on it

I didn't know the particulars of PA at the time. But I thought it was silly they'd released PA, and were getting money from it by being self-published, but they still apparently needed crowdfunding for the next game.

as far as i know they're completely dead (deservedly so)
which is a shame because human resources looked quite cool, and it's always bad that another RTS developer dies
it seems to be a trend that all RTS devs start out well, then make a catastrophically shit decision and then completely fall out of existence
