• Graphic Bug and Computer Crash

Ever since I got my computer it's been fine until yesterday. Yesterday was when I noticed strange things with my computer such as graphical issues, blue screens, and no error crashes. When I reboot my computer, it gives me the option to "check for a solution" but of course that comes up as nothing. My computer sometimes disables the graphics card after a short graphical bug and re-enables it after a few seconds. My computer can sometimes crash unexpectedly without an error. It will sometimes go into blue screen. Not only that but on my bios it could have messed up letters and numbers and symbols with loads of different colors. I've formatted my hard drive about 3 times and nothing has improved. I've tried downloading all recommended drivers for my motherboard via my motherboard's website. I've got the latest drivers of my graphics card. My graphics card is the ATI Radeon Gigabyte HD 6950 I thought it might have to be something to do with the graphics card because of the glitches that appear on the screen. I know it's not my monitor because I've turned on the monitor's built in menu and that works just fine. My HDMI lead works with my laptop and Xbox so it isn't that either. I've also tried flashing my bios but still nothing. Microsoft Fixit doesn't seem to do anything. Please help as this is really annoying me!!
Does your motherboard have onboard graphics? Try disconnecting your discrete GPU, and connect your monitor to the onboard video output, to find out if it still happens.
I don't think my motherboard has a onboard video output :/ I've looked for both VGA and HDMI outputs and I can't find anything but the one on my GPU. In fact I do have a spare GPU but it's not a very good one. I'll try this and see how it goes? I suppose that'd be the appropriate alternative, right? :)
