Recently decided I'd like a nicer pc, so I can play left4dead, mass effect 2 etc (games in general). Honest truth is I'm not 100% sure about hat to get. Thats where you guys come in!
I live in Ireland so I cant use sites like Newegg.com or cyberpowerpc.com sadly. I dont mind buying it pre-built, and I dont mind putting it together myself (though it may mean I fuck up at some point) What I'd like to be included would be a good graphics card that isnt integrated, and a decent processor.
Right now im using a pc that uses nvidia geforce 9200 and amd phenom X3. Now it plays crysis, but overheats and such and has to be played on low with choppy play. So its not ideal. The new one should be able to play crysis on its highest with a good framerate. I can probably stretch to use €700 or possibly €750, unfortunatly I have to buy a laptop aswell this month so money isnt a great possibilite I guess.
Download Speccy and post a screenshot, also note the Wattage of your PSU and brand.
Even if i wanted to, I cant. I've....somehow....broke the cpu cooling. but i know this all off by heart anyways
The original pc is a PackerBell IMedia 2326
PSU of 150 max of 250watts
nvidia Geforce 9200 graphics integrated
4GB Ram DDR2
AMD Phenom X3 AM2+
audio and all that is built in.
anything else you need to know?

Not really, by the looks of it you will need an entirely new computer exect for maybe the HDD and DVD, especially since its all PackerdBell stuff.

Yeah the quaity of it is poor, it would have been such a good computer had they actually included a fan to cool the GPU. I think I will just buy a new one, its less hassle and will probably work out better. The question now is where to buy one. I havent found a site/store that ships here and has quality machines.
This is one I was thinking of buying http://www.custompc.ie/intel-i7-ati-radeon-base-level-1156-desktop-pc-48009-p.asp I just need to look into it.

I'd recommend building the PC yourself from selected components, the quality will be higher than anything you buy prebuild.

Yeah , I was going to just add things onto that one originally, until I killed the fan. I guess all I was keeping was CD-DVD drive, hard drive, Ram and Mobo . So i guess its not so bad to just replace the motherboard too.

thats what i have so far.
You can't keep the RAM sadly.
Do you really need a 6 core CPU? 4 would be good enough.
Do you want to overclock or not?
PSU is a bomb. Probably.

I'd like to keep the option open. Well it was only about 20€ differance. So i thought Id just go with the 6 core.
I'll probably replace the ram yeah.
You need a AM3 mobo then.
But I would say look for LGA 1155 motherboards and maybe i5 2500k?
Look for DDR3 RAM. And DO NOT buy a cheap PSU.

Might I recommend a sandy bridge build?
In either case, go Corsair for PSU and RAM, never failed me.
The sandy bridge is a type of motherboard/cpu right? for the I3's-i7's? I must confess I have no idea what it is.
So PSU,RAM,Graphics,Motherboard, Processor and a case. Anything Im missing?
This is probably what im going to get. I may swap parts and all.
