• Network Drive Connection Help

Hey, I recently bought a Macbook Pro, and I have a 500GB Network Drive on my home network. I can't seem to get my Mac connected to the drive while three PC's in my house have access to the drive no problem.. I have enabled SMB in my Network settings too. Here is the process I go through to attempt to get it connected.
Finder > Go > Connect to Server
Server Address:
SMB://Netstorage
Then it connects and asks for a username and password.. There is no such thing on my Drive for user access. I have it set for public access. So after trying various logins with no success I decided to make a passworded file just to see what would happen.. Server Address:
SMB://Netstorage/Locked File
Then it connects and asks for a user and password again, while there are no usernames that I am aware of, I set the password to admin.. I tried various usernames with the password and everytime I kept getting invalid username or password. I am really frustrated because I can access the drive's administrative settings by going to firefox
http://Netstorage
Then logging in with the username and password that is factory set. So this tells me that the drive is connecte to the network fine and it is somewhat accessible, all the trouble starts when I have to mount it via smb: Connecting it to my windows PC's was straight-forward and I had no problems. (surprisingly the problem is on the mac and not pc for once) If anyone has had this issue or could help me, that'd be excellent!
