Why doesn't division have a limit like this instead of being undefined? lim x->0 1/x = inf
1/x cannot be simplified any, so you're still placing 0 as the x making it 1/0 which is undefined.
That is because.. The limit from the right is:
lim 1/x = +∞ x -> 0+
but the limit from the left is:
lim 1/x = -∞ x -> 0-
and therefore it is undefined, since lim x -> 0 can be either infinity or negative infinity.
I think calculators should be programmed to respond with "No" if you try to divide by zero.
( ) There.
But you didn't just divide by zero, did you?

If you divide by zero, dont you get the same number? I mean, none out of nine is nine, right?
If you divide by zero, dont you get the same number? I mean, none out of nine is nine, right?
No, it's none since it's none out of nine, therefore there is nothing out of nine, therefore none.
No, it's none since it's none out of nine, therefore there is nothing out of nine, therefore none.
x/0 = 0 => x * 0 = 0 x = anything , hence undefined.
If you divide by zero, dont you get the same number? Anything *0 is 0. 0 * 0 is 0, so isnt 9 / 0, 0?
Wouldnt x be zero? Anything *0 is 0. 0 * 0 is 0, so isnt 9 / 0, 0?
No, because that would mean that 0 * 0 = 9, which is not true.
I'm gonna kill my self because of the numbers
-snip- fuck it
