Im looking for a good way to record my desktop for a photoshop tutorial.
If it's not free i'll look into buying one but i want one that
A) has a good voice recorder built in
2) Doesn't show my mouse lagging in playback
and H) Isn't CAMStudio.
I appreciate all suggestions =]
Why not CamStudio? Just curious as to your reasoning.
Well, it's not very high quality.
I get annoying mouse lag and the voice recorder is so quiet.
Ah, I see.
Just off the top of my head:

All of those are Freeware and got 3 stars or above.
alright, i prefer experience shown with it though. So im not downloading and installing something that will be a waste of my time ya know?
One person liking software doesn't mean that you will like it. Just put forth some fucking effort and use some of those that he linked until you find one that you like. I mean, you could have just google searched it but he was nice enough to provide you with links.
Beggars can not be choosers.
I've personally tried the bottom two, and they work fine. I'm not sure about the mouse lag problem you're having, as I've only used them in GMod.
Good luck finding ANY free program with decent a decent frame rate, though.
Thank you =]
and nevermind. Why so mean? I was simply stating that i don't want random links shoved at me.
i HAVE googled. i HAVE searched around. I'm not the kind of idiot who begs others to do the work for me. I couldn't find anything so i politely asked someone to help me.

As far as I can tell, the links were not random, nor shoved at you, and on my first google search I found three of the links that he posted. And, if you'd like me to quote you I can show you where you actually did beg others to do the work for you.

Just to actually contribute constructively, I installed all of the ones that were linked and slickscreen seems to be the clear winner.
Edit: Although slickscreen's UI is awesome, I've played around with it further and found that it is not actually a recorder, it just makes your windows all fancy. I thought this was just a feature. Hmm, I guess it's just fun to play around with though. Takes some hunting to find the demo as well, I had to grab it from brothersoft.
Go right ahead.
And by using "fucking" in your sentence it made it seem like you were.
Try this.

Looks like it doesn't run on windows 7 because it doesn't support a .NET framework over 1.1, but it's highly rated and it's fully freware.
EZ cam.
im on windows 7 which is unfortunate
But i did find something and was willing to pay for it
camistia studio 6
Bad Sp sorry.
Hypercam
I use camstudio for my tutorial vids. I expect lag... But it's not that bad.
It's the only one I've used much.
Hypercam
Unegisterd Hypercam watermarks. The mark of quality.
Yeah Hypercam and Camstudios isnt good enough for me.
Eitherway i found one like i stated above =]
There are lots of software out there for doing what you want, but for simple recording and narration I recommend 1AVCapture because it allows you to generate quality WMV video files with small sizes and compressed on the go, so you can quickly put a screencast together and right away make it available on your site for streaming.
